Rome Grinding Solutions in Sheldon, IA is seeking a hands-on Machining Supervisor who will split time between active machining and supervisory duties. The role emphasizes leading by example, coordinating priorities with Production and Operations, and maintaining safety standards.

The position requires 5+ years of machining experience and 3+ years in leadership, with a base pay of $30–$35 per hour. Full-time, on-site, Monday-Thursday 6:00AM-3:30PM and Friday 6:00AM-11:30AM.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years machining experience and minimum of 3 years leadership or supervisory experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on machining experience with milling and turning.
• Working knowledge of CNC machines, tooling, setups, and machining processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example by actively performing machining operations alongside the team.
• Supervise, train, mentor, and support machinists to promote quality, productivity, and teamwork.
• Provide hands-on technical assistance with machine setups, troubleshooting, and machining challenges.
• Coordinate daily production priorities, schedules, and deadlines with the Production and Operations teams.
• Monitor department performance, workmanship, and quality standards.
• Communicate tooling, material, and equipment needs to appropriate departments.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and promote a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
