Job summary

Rome Grinding Solutions is seeking a machinist to support efficient production operations in Sheldon, IA. This role emphasizes quality output and safety, with no CNC experience required. You will read blueprints and operate basic machining tools, contributing to on-time production.

Excellent communication, attention to detail, adaptability, and teamwork are essential as you work on a fast-paced shop floor to meet daily goals and maintain equipment with preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with assisting tools.
• No CNC experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and engineering information to determine operations and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Produce quality parts on CNC machines including the lathe and mill.
• Perform prescribed preventive maintenance on machines.
• Maintain clean equipment and safe work environment.
• Follow all prescribed safety regulations; willing to wear all safety gear.
• Measure, examine, and test completed parts/units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations to fabricate products, determine product dimensions and tolerances.
• Ability to meet goals, quotas, deadlines.
• Manage time, efficiency and performance.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Produce quality parts on CNC machines including the lathe and mill
• Perform prescribed preventive maintenance on machines
