Job summary

StrataTech Education Group is seeking a Skilled Trades Lab Instructor to support hands-on training in HVAC, Electrical, and Mechatronics programs. You will help prepare lab materials, assist students, and maintain tools and equipment to foster a safe, well-organized learning environment.

Under guidance from instructors and project managers, you will ensure labs run smoothly, track supplies, and support program needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or associate’s degree preferred in HVAC, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a skilled trade environment (lab, field, or training setting).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools, equipment, and technology.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to student success and maintaining a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lab stations, tools, and equipment prior to each training session.
• Provide students with hands-on support during labs under the direction of lead instructors.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including PPE use and proper handling of tools/materials.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of lab equipment.
• Track, organize, and replenish supplies, consumables, and instructional materials.
• Maintain clean, safe, and functional lab spaces at all times.
• Assist instructors and project managers with special projects and program needs.
• Follow all institutional policies and procedures, including timekeeping and reporting requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support program and operational needs.
