Job summary

Urban Air Christiana is seeking a Kitchen Manager to oversee cafe operations and guide Team Members in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. The role focuses on cooking, preparing, and serving food with urgency while staying friendly to guests and supportive of the team.

The candidate will manage daily kitchen and service activities, maintain standards, train staff, and ensure food safety compliance, working closely with the General Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• ServSafe or equivalent food handling certification required or obtainable within 30 days.
• 2+ years in food/beverage operations; 1–3 years management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and guest service skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen and café operations and guide team members.
• Ensure deliveries are logged and inventory is controlled to minimize waste.
• Train staff on menu preparation and beverage/service standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and regular deep-clean schedules.
• Address guest concerns and participate in staff meetings and trainings.
• Uphold Urban Air policies and operational standards.
