Job summary

Pasona N A, Inc. is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead day-to-day HR operations for its Houston facility and to support California-based employees.

This hands-on role focuses on Employee Relations, investigations, and compliance with California, Texas, and federal laws. You will oversee recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, payroll coordination, benefits, and timekeeping, coordinating with external payroll vendors and counsel as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience in the United States.
• HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Hands-on HR experience supporting employees in both California and Texas.
• Strong working knowledge of California, Texas, and federal employment laws.
• Significant hands-on Employee Relations experience.
• Direct experience handling workplace investigations, employee complaints, disciplinary actions, performance issues, and terminations.
• Experience advising managers on sensitive employee relations matters.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems and coordinating with external payroll vendors.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• English fluency.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day HR operations for the Houston facility and support California-based employees.
• Oversee Employee Relations and workplace investigations.
• Maintain compliance with CA, TX, and federal employment laws.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, benefits, timekeeping, and HR documentation.
• Coordinate with external counsel or investigators when appropriate.
• Provide HR reports and updates to senior management.
