Job summary

The Florence Presbyterian Community in Florence, SC is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead day-to-day HR operations, drive employee relations, recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, and partner with leadership to build a compliant, engaged workforce.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree (Bachelor's preferred) and at least three years of progressive HR experience, preferably in healthcare or senior living, with hands-on execution and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Experience in day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding and offboarding.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on HR execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day HR operations including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding.
• Manage full-cycle recruitment and workforce planning to meet staffing needs.
• Provide direct, hands-on employee relations support and coaching to managers.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain documentation.
• Oversee benefits administration, payroll coordination, and compensation practices.
• Support performance management processes and confidentiality in HR data.
