Pacific Biosciences is seeking a Research Assistant to support sequencing projects in the Applications Lab. You will operate PacBio sequencing systems, prepare DNA and RNA libraries, and assist with troubleshooting to ensure high-quality results.

Working closely with scientists and staff, you will maintain accurate records, manage samples and reagents, and contribute to reliable execution of laboratory workflows in a fast-paced genomics environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, or related life sciences.
• Hands-on lab experience with DNA/RNA sample preparation.
• Ability to follow detailed laboratory protocols and maintain accurate records.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities; strong teamwork.

Aufgaben

• Operate and monitor PacBio sequencing systems; track run performance and support reliable completion of sequencing experiments.
• Prepare DNA and RNA libraries, including whole-genome sequencing and RNA workflows, following protocols and QC procedures.
• Troubleshoot library preparation and sequencing runs; collaborate with scientists to identify causes and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate experimental records, organize samples and reagents, and support routine equipment maintenance and inventory.
