Job summary

CRG Search is seeking a Field Service Supervisor based in North Carolina to lead a team of Field Maintenance Technicians while remaining hands-on about 70% of the time. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and improve telecom systems across client sites, traveling regionally and staying involved in field work.

You’ll coach technicians, manage on-call rotation, and coordinate with operations leadership to ensure service reliability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 5–7+ years maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing telecommunications equipment.
• 2+ years supervisory or lead technician experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% overnight.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field maintenance operations across multiple client sites with hands-on troubleshooting.
• Perform preventive maintenance, testing, and repairs on telecom equipment and infrastructure.
• Respond to customer complaints and network outages; lead timely resolutions.
• Develop preventative maintenance schedules; manage on-call rotation.
• Coach and develop Field Maintenance Technicians; provide performance feedback.
• Coordinate with Director of Operations and client personnel.
• Stay current on telecom equipment and practices.
• Travel regionally; occasional overnight stays; participate in on-call schedule.
