Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training preferred.
• Strong reading and interpretation of construction documents and specs.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing and inspections of concrete, soils, asphalt, aggregates, and other construction materials.
• Conduct density testing, slump testing, and sampling procedures.
• Observe construction activities and verify compliance with project specs.
• Document test results and prepare field reports; communicate findings to team.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers; operate field testing equipment.
• Support quality assurance and quality control activities; mentor junior staff as experience grows.
