Job summary

Intertek is seeking an entry-level CMT Field Technician in Charlotte, NC to test concrete and soil on active construction sites. This hands-on role offers training, safety-focused work, and strong growth potential in the A/E/C industry.

You'll gain experience through field testing, site observations, and documentation, with paid training and certification opportunities (ACI, ICC, DOT) and a clear path into senior tech or engineering support roles.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of construction materials testing experience.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record.
• Effective communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
• Basic math, calculator, and computer skills are required.
• The ability to read and understand work plans is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing on soil, concrete, and other construction materials.
• Observe site activities and document results.
• Work with construction plans, specs, and field data.
• Communicate with project teams and clients.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain accurate reports.
