Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Maintenance Repairman 2 in Harrisburg to support building operations across agency facilities. You will perform skilled maintenance, repair, and setup tasks to keep equipment, furniture, and spaces in good condition for daily use.

This full-time role requires hands-on problem solving, electrical, carpentry, and furniture handling duties, plus safe tool use. The work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Residency requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 or four years in building/plant maintenance with two of the trades (building, electrical, mechanical).
• Ability to perform skilled maintenance, repair and setup tasks across agency facilities.
• Valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License required.
• PA residency requirement must be met.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs and construction tasks throughout agency buildings and offices.
• Assist with installing and repairing circuits, lighting, sensors, and related components.
• Repair and install walls, doors, frames, and panels with carpentry methods.
• Move, install, reconfigure, and repair modular and standard furniture.
• Use hand and power tools to safely complete tasks.
• Coordinate with staff to arrange furniture and equipment for events.
