Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Maintenance Repairman 2 at the South Mountain Restoration Center. The role involves hands-on maintenance across plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and more to keep the facility running smoothly for residents and staff.

You will handle repairs, installations, inspections, and preventive maintenance while supporting a safe environment. Typical schedule is full-time, with daytime hours and no telework option.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration).
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plumbing work: Install fixtures, cut pipe, and maintain water and sewage systems.
• Multi-trade tasks: Perform electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC work as needed across the facility.
• Equipment repair: Install, maintain, and repair machines, tools, and building systems.
• Grounds care: Support lawn care, snow removal, and outdoor upkeep.
• Preventive records: Maintain schedules and logs for required preventive maintenance.
• Transport duties: Drive trucks to transport people, supplies, and equipment around the facility.
