Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus specialized schooling or on-the-job education in a skill area; 5 years related experience and 2 years related management experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate information in person-to-person and small group settings.
• Proficiency in basic math for measurements, rates, ratios, and graph interpretation.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and read basic electrical/plumbing schematics.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic rough and finished carpentry repair of structures and furniture.
• Perform basic electrical repair work for switches, outlets, and lighting systems.
• Identify and repair basic plumbing leaks or breaks and maintain drinking foundations.
• Repair or maintain hot water heaters and other appliances.
• Prepare surfaces for painting and apply coatings.
• Respond to safety concerns and maintain clean, safe work sites.
