Job summary

Centennial Bank in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform a wide range of maintenance tasks across branch locations. The role includes carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs to ensure safe, functional facilities.

You will handle preventative maintenance, respond to after-hours safety issues, manage tools and equipment, and document work orders in Service Now. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school or GED plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area.
• 5 years related experience and/or training, and 2 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide; compute rates, ratios and percentages; interpret bar graphs.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic rough and finished carpentry repairs of structures and fixtures.
• Perform basic electrical repair work for switches, outlets, cables, and lighting systems.
• Identify and repair plumbing leaks or breaks and maintain lines and drains.
• Repair or maintain hot water heaters and other appliances.
• Paint surfaces and prepare surfaces for paint or varnish.
• Clean and maintain work areas and respond to after-hours safety issues.
