Job summary

SMTC Corporation in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Machine Maintenance Tech to help maintain our facilities, equipment, and grounds in a safe and efficient environment. You will diagnose, plan, and execute maintenance tasks on equipment, buildings, and related hardware, coordinating with service providers and ensuring adherence to schedules and OSHA safety standards.

Must have a High School Diploma and at least 1 year of relevant maintenance experience, with familiarity of safety regulations a must.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of maintenance technician experience.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with light plumbing, light electrical, painting, internal employee moves, and support machine maintenance with equipment moves.
• Keep external building grounds clean and safe for our employees' well-being.
• Prioritize, schedule, and coordinate contract maintenance, dispatching maintenance staff in response to service calls, and procuring necessary parts and materials.
• Ensure adherence to routine maintenance schedules within established guidelines and make revisions as needed.
