Job summary

Mack Technologies Florida, Inc. seeks an SMT Operator in Melbourne, FL to set up, operate, and maintain surface-mount technology equipment for PCB assembly. Shift options include Day, Evening, and Night, with local candidates only.

Responsibilities include machine interfacing, quality checks, data logging, and participation in quality teams. Candidates should have 2+ years SMT experience and IPC-A-610 certification preferred; ESD training is a plus.

Summary

The SMT Operator is responsible for set-up, operation and maintenance of equipment in support of Printed Circuit Board Assembly processes and procedures for Mack Technologies Florida, Inc. Candidates must be local to the Melbourne, FL area. Monday - Friday 1st shift: 7:00a-3:30p; 2nd shift: 3:15p-11:45p; Sunday - Thursday 3rd shift 11pm-7:30a

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set-up, operate and maintain screen printers, glue machine, reflow ovens, SMT placement machines, stencil cleaners, conveyors, and other equipment used in the assembly of Printed Circuit Boards.
• Interface with complex machine hardware and software.
• Identify and report defective components.
• Inspect own work to ensure accuracy and integrity of work performed.
• Ensure product meets established workmanship standards.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and maintain data logs.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of work area and surrounding workspace.
• Responsible for the accuracy of work-in-process.
• Participate in quality teams as required.
• May train other employees.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• 2+ years of experience in SMT equipment operation, preferred.
• IPC-A-610 Certified, preferred.
• ESD Training.
• Knowledge of component identification and nomenclature.
• Basic computer skills, problem solving and workstation skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Capable of performing job function utilizing written procedures, verbal instructions and visual aids.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary, including weekends.
