Job summary

SMTC Corporation, a mid-size electronics manufacturing services provider, is seeking a Facilities Manager in Melbourne, FL. The role oversees facility operations, maintenance, and EHS, leading a hands-on team to ensure manufacturing readiness and reliability.

The ideal candidate will manage HVAC, electrical, BAS, and other critical systems, implement preventive maintenance, coordinate capital projects, and drive cost efficiency while aligning with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading facilities operations in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to develop and implement PM programs; CMMS experience preferred.
• Experience managing building systems (HVAC, electrical, BAS) and utilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily facility operations, maintenance, repairs, and improvements to support safe, reliable manufacturing.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Develop and manage preventive/predictive maintenance programs using CMMS.
• Oversee EHS compliance with safety and environmental programs.
• Plan and manage facility improvement projects, budgets, and vendor performance.
• Maintain records and support regulatory documentation and audits.
• Drive cost efficiency and continuous improvement in facility operations.
