Job summary

Safer Human Medicine is seeking a Physical Plant Technician I in Florida to support day-to-day maintenance, repair, and upkeep of facility systems and equipment. This hands-on role involves routine preventive maintenance, basic repairs, inspections, and general facility support.

You will assist with moving, installing, and relocating equipment, maintain records, and help ensure safety and cleanliness across the site. A high school diploma and willingness to learn are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting minor mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and equipment issues.
• Inspect facilities for maintenance or safety concerns and complete work orders.
• Replace light bulbs, filters, fixtures, and other basic components as needed.
• Support preventive maintenance schedules and maintain maintenance records.
• Assist senior staff, vendors, and contractors as required.
