Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking Environmental Services engineering interns in Minneapolis/St Paul to assist project teams with standard engineering tasks and data handling. You will help with filing, data entry, presentations, and responses to questions while contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

You should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Studies, maintain a strong GPA, and demonstrate effective communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
  • Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
  • Active campus or community involvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated leadership and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, and presentations.
  • Assist with responses to general questions.
  • Collect and analyze data for continuous improvement.
  • Present solutions to project concerns.
  • Research solutions to project concerns and recommend improvements.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
  • Maintain compliance with policies and standards.
