Job summary
CargoSprint is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and grow the engineering team building the logistics platform. You will own architecture, set technical direction, and stay hands-on in code while mentoring engineers to raise the bar.
You will collaborate with Product and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver reliable software that scales with user needs. The role emphasizes shipping quickly, making sound technical decisions, and driving improvements in a high-ownership, high-autonomy
Qualifications
- 8+ years in software engineering including 2+ years as a formal people manager.
- Strong cross-functional communicator; comfortable with ambiguity and high ownership.
- Experience in startup or high-growth SaaS environments.
Responsibilities
- Own leadership and people-management cycle: 1:1s, performance reviews, and hiring.
- Lead backend design and architecture using Python, FastAPI, Temporal, and PostgreSQL.
- Champion testing, DevOps practices, and observability (CI/CD, monitoring, metrics).
- Leverage AI tooling to improve delivery and engineering quality.
