Job summary

Super Dispatch is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a cross-functional team (backend, frontend, QA) for our Shipper TMS product. You will partner with Product to set technical direction, drive delivery, and grow engineers while remaining hands-on for architecture decisions in Java/Spring Boot.

Your first 3–6–12 months involve ramping on codebase, taking ownership of roadmap, delivery, and people development. Remote-first culture and strong collaboration are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing a team of 5-15 across multiple tech stacks.
• 5+ years of experience developing software as an IC engineer.
• Senior Engineer with at least 3 years on web backend (Java/Spring)
• Experience scaling teams in startups during growth and change.
• Experience rolling out engineering and management practices such as code review and performance reviews.

Responsibilities

• Turn requirements into well-scoped, sequenced work and set milestones.
• Track team health and unblock bottlenecks across the SDLC.
• Own the team's technical roadmap and tackle tech debt.
• Review architecture docs and participate in incident RCAs.
• Lead 1:1s, coaching, performance reviews, and hiring.
