Job summary

Cohere is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our Deployment Engineering team in North America. This role blends hands-on technical leadership with a focus on delivering impact across enterprise deployments.

You’ll manage Forward Deployed Engineers, drive customer success from implementation to delivery, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Sales to scale agentic AI solutions for finance, healthcare, and telecommunications.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 2+ years of experience managing software engineering teams.
• Experience managing engineers in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying enterprise software at scale, with focus on agentic applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Forward Deployed Engineers focused on building agentic solutions with North in on-premises environments.
• Take ownership of customer success from technical implementation through delivery.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Sales to shape how we deliver AI to enterprises.
• Build relationships with technical stakeholders on the customer end.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, focusing on bringing agentic solutions to every step of the development process.
• Define and implement processes that scale agent development and deployment across multiple client environments.
