Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer Manager in AI to lead an engineering team that builds bespoke agentic solutions directly within customer environments. You will mentor engineers, align with Product and Sales, and remove production blockers while driving enterprise-grade AI deployments.

You will guide hiring and develop multi-agent systems, improve data readiness, and manage state and security aspects across deployments in customer contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in cloud computing or a technical customer-facing role.
• Experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
• Experience in Python or similar coding languages.
• Experience developing AI/GenAI solutions or designing multi-agent workflows/RAG systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical team, set code standards and benchmarks for engineering excellence.
• Coordinate with Sales and Tech Leadership to define requirements for high-value opportunities.
• Lead technical hiring for FDE and evaluate AI/ML expertise and software skills.
• Identify skill gaps in emerging tech and maintain SME status in evolving AI stack.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to resolve blockers and improve internal tools.
