Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, offers an Electrical Engineer Intern/Co-op for Spring 2027 across multiple CMTA locations. This onsite, full-time role provides hands-on experience in electrical design and collaboration with engineering teams, with potential for rotations and full-time employment after graduation.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering (sophomore or junior), has interest in building systems, and is familiar with AutoCAD and REVIT.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering (sophomore or junior preferred).
• Interest in Building Systems Electrical Engineering.
• AutoCAD and REVIT experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to work full time during the co-op term and travel locally for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Learn and implement electrical system basics including power distribution and lighting.
• Produce detailed layout and equipment details for electrical systems in buildings.
• Assist design team in assembling organized drawing sets.
• Support data collection and field verification as needed.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop project aspects.
