Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of EHSS/EHS experience in manufacturing, distribution or R&D settings.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and local environmental and safety regulations.
• Experience leading EHSS projects, teams or site initiatives.
• Experience with regulatory inspections, audits and investigations.
• Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHSS systems.
• Willingness to work occasional hours beyond normal schedule.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the site's primary EHSS resource and regulatory liaison.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DEP, NFPA and applicable requirements.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise site leadership.
• Lead inspections, audits, agency interactions and corrective actions.
• Develop and improve EHSS policies, programs and audits.
• Conduct risk assessments and industrial hygiene evaluations and implement corrective actions.
• Support facility changes to integrate EHSS requirements.
• Lead EHSS training for employees, contractors and visitors.
• Maintain safety records, training matrices, and EHSS reporting systems.
• Lead investigations of injuries, incidents and near misses with root-cause analysis.
• Track EHSS metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee environmental compliance programs and reporting (permits, stormwater, TRI, air).
• Support sustainability initiatives and ESG goals.
• Partner with leadership to standardize EHSS practices across sites.
• Ensure contractor and vendor EHSS compliance.
