Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in OH, USA, is seeking an on-site Data Center Engineer Operations Technician to monitor and maintain critical data-center infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems.

You will perform rounds, assist with PM and troubleshooting, work with vendors, and support change management while rotating shifts and potentially supporting multiple sites, in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Work a flexible work schedule including evenings, overnights, and weekends.
• 1+ years of electrical facilities maintenance, or 1+ years of mechanical facilities.
• Experience reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings.
• Associate's degree in related field, or technical degree in related field.
• 2+ years of data center engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS.
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
