Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Plain City, OH, is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical facilities.

You will manage electrical and mechanical systems, including standby generators, UPS, PDUs, and cooling equipment to ensure 24/7 operational uptime. This front-line role requires flexibility in shift work, occasional travel between data centers, and strict adherence to safety and change-management procedures.

Qualifications

• -2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience
• Experience reading and writing procedures and engineering drawings
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLA
• Install and decommission racks; perform PM and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment
• Support change management with technical documentation and reports
• Coordinate with on-site contractors and vendors, ensuring safety and compliance
• Adapt to shift changes, including nights and weekends, with potential travel between sites
