Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Operations Technician to help maintain and troubleshoot critical data center infrastructure. The role supports 24/7 reliability of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems across AWS facilities.

You will monitor BMS/EPMS, perform rack installs and decommissions, and work with on-site contractors while following established safety and operational procedures. Training may be required for different sites.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience.
• 1+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience.
• Preferred: 2+ years of data center engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems.
• Monitor Building Management Systems and Power Management Systems.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack events within internal SLA.
• Install and decommission racks within SLA.
• Perform preventive maintenance and root cause analysis on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Create technical documentation to support change management.
• Manage daily work requests and drive projects from concept to completion.
• Coordinate on-site with contractors and vendors per procedures and safety rules.
• Support multiple locations as needed and adjust schedules.
