Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in OH is seeking an Engineering Operations Technician to monitor and maintain critical data center infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems.

You will work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot incidents, perform preventative maintenance, and support change management while adhering to SLAs and safety standards. This role is on-site with shifts up to 12 hours and potential on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience in data centers or electrical/mechanical fields.
• Ability to bend/twist body into unusual positions and work at heights.
• Ability to walk on job sites in uneven terrain and manipulate small wires/objects.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor BMS and EPMS systems.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLAs.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management.
• Coordinate daily work requests and drive projects to completion.
• On-site support of contractors and vendors per established practices and local laws.
