Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join our 24/7 facilities team in Ohio. You will perform electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety system monitoring, preventative maintenance, and incident response to ensure continuous operation of critical data center infrastructure.

You'll work with Building Management Systems and support continuous improvement through troubleshooting, PMs, and on-site collaboration with vendors and contractors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of practical experience in electrical systems, mechanical systems, HVAC, and/or fire suppression systems.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• Monitor daily work requests and manage to resolution; execute projects from conception to completion.
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors; ensure work follows procedures and local legislation.
