Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Center Engineering Operations team is seeking an on-site Technician to monitor and maintain critical data center infrastructure. You will work with front-line responders to ensure reliability of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems across multiple locations, including 24/7 shifts and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities include monitoring BMS/EPMS, troubleshooting incidents, performing rack installs and PM, and supporting change management.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of practical experience in electrical systems, mechanical systems, HVAC, and/or fire suppression systems.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks and work at heights or on ladders.
• Ability to work shifts longer than eight hours and participate in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
