Job summary

Amazon AWS is seeking an Engineering Operations Technician to join the Data Center Engineering Operations team. You will help monitor critical infrastructure, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems in our data centers.

You will work in shifts with on-site presence, coordinate with contractors, and participate in change management documentation while ensuring safety and compliance across locations in the region.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of practical experience in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or fire suppression systems.
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including heights and ladders.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLAs.
• PM, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Provide technical writing to support change management.
