Job summary

Palermo's Pizza is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to own day-to-day security across IT and OT in a growing manufacturing environment. You will harden systems, close vulnerabilities, respond to incidents, and secure the plant floor while shaping security strategy into action.

You will split time between the Milwaukee HQ, manufacturing facilities, and warehouse operations, collaborating with IT, Engineering, Operations, and leadership to strengthen enterprise cybersecurity and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent).
• Five to ten years in network, server, or systems administration or engineering.
• Two+ years hands-on cybersecurity experience (SOC, IR, vulnerability mgmt, identity/endpoint security).
• Working knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls, or ISA/IEC 62443.
• Strong skills in Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Write security policies, run tabletop exercises, and plan enhancements aligned to NIST CSF.
• Secure the plant floor via IT-to-OT segmentation, OT asset inventory, and secure vendor access.
• Design hardened configuration standards for servers, network, and backups and implement with the infra team.
• Harden identity, endpoint, email, network, and cloud security across AD, Entra ID, M365, and Azure.
• Lead security incident response during business hours and manage the MDR partner.
• Run end-to-end vulnerability management: scan, prioritize, remediate, verify, report.
• Manage the security awareness platform and train staff from office to plant floor.
