Job summary

Delta Dallas is seeking a hands-on Controller to own the day-to-day accounting function with autonomy and direct exposure to leadership. No direct reports, this is an individual-contributor role focused on end-to-end numbers, including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and month-end close, with Shopify/e-commerce accounting in scope.

This role requires 5+ years of accounting experience, strong QuickBooks Online proficiency, and a roll-up-your-sleeves, detail-oriented approach to support the

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong QuickBooks Online experience — REQUIRED.
• Solid understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, and general accounting.
• Month-end close experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong organization and follow-through.
• Comfortable communicating directly with leadership.
• A hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily AP and AR
• Handle customer billing and expense reporting
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, inventory, balance sheets, and income statements
• Support and manage the month-end close
• Review transactions and ensure expenses are properly categorized
• Coordinate purchasing, receiving, and inventory
• Support accounting for Shopify and e-commerce sales
• Track products moving through overseas factories and warehouses
• Maintain accurate product and item information
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes
• Work directly with leadership as the company's primary accounting resource
