Job summary

Delta Dallas is seeking a hands-on Controller to own the day-to-day accounting function with autonomy and direct exposure to leadership. No direct reports, this is an individual-contributor role focused on end-to-end numbers, including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and month-end close, with Shopify/e-commerce accounting in scope.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily AP and AR
• Handle customer billing and expense reporting
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, inventory, balance sheets, and income statements
• Support and manage the month-end close
• Review transactions and ensure expenses are properly categorized
• Coordinate purchasing, receiving, and inventory
• Support accounting for Shopify and e-commerce sales
• Track products moving through overseas factories and warehouses
• Maintain accurate product and item information
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes
• Work directly with leadership as the company's primary accounting resource

If you're an experienced accounting professional who would rather own the numbers than manage people, this could be a great opportunity.

Our client is looking for a hands-on Controller to take ownership of the company's day-to-day accounting function. You'll work directly with leadership, have significant autonomy, and be involved in the financial side of a growing business from end to end.

There are no direct reports. This is an individual-contributor role for someone who enjoys being in the details, solving problems, and knowing exactly what is happening with the numbers.

What You'll Do

You'll have a broad scope of responsibility, including:

• Manage daily AP and AR
• Handle customer billing and expense reporting
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, inventory, balance sheets, and income statements
• Support and manage the month-end close
• Review transactions and ensure expenses are properly categorized
