Job summary

Collision Auto Parts seeks an experienced Hands-On Controller to lead our accounting function and strengthen financial operations. You’ll own the close and reporting, oversee the general ledger, build strong controls, and partner with leadership to turn financial data into actionable decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• At least 8 years of accounting leadership or management experience.
• Strong technical knowledge and demonstrated application of U.S. GAAP.
• Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing financial statements.
• Strong experience with month-end and year-end close, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cash management.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and financial reporting processes.
• Prepare and review accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules.
• Analyze financial results, trends, margins, and variances and provide actionable insights to leadership.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Oversee cash flow forecasting and working-capital management, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Develop and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Coordinate external audits and support tax and other financial reporting requirements.
• Partner with operational leaders to identify cost‑saving opportunities and improve profitability.
• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team while establishing clear expectations and accountability.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline accounting processes.
• Support the implementation and optimization of ERP, accounting, and financial reporting systems.
• Help build scalable financial processes that support the continued growth of the business.
