Job summary

Ebs Recruiters LLC seeks a hands-on Controller to oversee accounting and financial operations, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate financial reporting. You will manage the general ledger, payroll, AP/AR, and month-end close while leading a small accounting team and partnering with the CFO on strategic decisions.

You will drive budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and process improvements in a privately held environment, balancing strategic work with detailed accounting tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible accounting and finance experience.
• Leadership experience in Controller/Accounting Manager roles preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with general ledger, financial reporting, reconciliations, and close.
• Solid GAAP knowledge and financial statement preparation.
• Experience budgeting, forecasting, cash management and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities: GL, AP, AR, payroll, cash management.
• Maintain accurate records per GAAP and policies; post journals and reconciliations.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, year-end close; review financial statements and trends.
• Develop reporting, dashboards, KPIs; support budgeting and forecasting.
• Supervise accounting staff; drive process improvements and automation.
• Partner with CFO and leadership on strategic financial decisions.
