Job summary

SleekEZ is seeking a highly capable Controller & Finance / Accounting Manager to own accounting, financial reporting, controls, and day-to-day management. This is a foundational, hands-on role with expectation to personally manage bookkeeping in QuickBooks and reconcile historical records.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license in good standing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; advanced degree a plus.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles.
• Significant hands-on accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience with inventory accounting and COGS preferred.
• Consumer products/e-commerce/retail/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong Excel and financial-analysis skills.
• Experience developing or improving internal financial controls.
• High level of accuracy, integrity, confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Own SleekEZ's accounting processes and maintain books in QuickBooks.
• Lead cleanup, reconciliation, and improvement of financial records.
• Perform and/or oversee transaction coding, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end adjustments.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, payment providers and e-commerce platforms.
• Ensure proper accounting treatment of inventory, COGS, freight, vendor payments, sales, and fees.
• Maintain a disciplined monthly close process and produce financial statements.
• Provide management with reporting on revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, profitability, cash flow and working capital.
• Develop budgets, forecasts and cash-flow projections.
• Analyze performance vs budget/forecast and explain variances clearly.
• Develop management KPIs to support decision-making.
• Partner with CEO on financial planning and business decisions.
• Establish internal controls and policies around purchasing, approvals, payments, payroll, and reporting.
