Job description

We are currently seeking a hands‑on, roll‑up sleeves, detail‑driven Controller who thrives in an environment with high expectations, active leadership involvement, and a strong focus on accuracy and follow‑through. This role is best suited for a seasoned accounting professional who enjoys being close to the work while serving as a trusted financial partner to executive leadership.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead and oversee the accounting team, including general ledger, account reconciliations, and monthly close.
  • Day‑to‑day accounting department activities including the timely and accurate accounting and reporting of all transactions, including cash transactions, AP invoicing, and job costings.
  • Maintain strong oversight of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions with attention to detail and follow‑through.
  • Oversee biweekly payroll processing in close collaboration with Human Resources.
  • Manages fixed asset listing and related transactions.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports.
  • Develops and publishes financial analysis and review of operating results and variables to budget.
  • Prepare and distribute other reporting as required.
  • Monitor bank balances, overseeing daily cash receipt/disbursement processes and managing daily liquidity.
  • Develop short‑and long‑term cash forecasts to ensure sufficient funds for operational needs.
  • Utilize Treasury Management Systems (TMS) and ERP Systems to automated reporting and improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor internal accounting controls and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies by interaction with various cross‑functional departments.
  • Support internal and external audits, including documentation, schedules and ad hoc requests.
  • Partners closely with the CFO and Executive Leadership to address financial questions, variances, and issues as they arise.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in finance or accounting, including month‑end close and financial reporting. Seeking leadership experience, leading, guiding and mentoring others. Must have advanced skills with Excel and demonstrated experience with ERP systems in an accounting or financial reporting environment; Epicor ERP experience preferred. Other attributes include:
