Job summary

Gray Construction in Lexington, KY is seeking a Project Management intern for Summer 2027. This hands-on role supports the project management team across design coordination, estimating, bidding, and scheduling activities on active projects.

You will gain exposure to design-build processes, learn to assemble proposals, maintain electronic files, and report project status while collaborating with engineers, designers, and field staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Support the project management team in coordinating design and engineering between engineers for customers’ process, equipment, and installation.
• Assist PM team in estimating, bidding, and subcontract procurement on projects.
• Support coordination and scheduling of construction management activities on projects.
• Develop, maintain, and report project status to the customer; assist in developing project proposals.
• Create and maintain departmental electronic files, forms, and brochures.
