Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking a Project Management intern for Summer 2027 in our Lexington, KY office. You will support the PM team in coordinating design and engineering activities, assist in estimating and bidding, and help manage project documentation and proposals.

You will gain hands-on experience with coordinating schedules, tracking progress, and participating in safety program implementation, within a collaborative, team-oriented environment at Gray Construction.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support the project management team in coordinating design and engineering between engineers for customers’ processes and installation.
• Assist PM team with estimating, bidding, and subcontract procurement on projects.
• Support coordination and scheduling of construction management activities.
• Develop, maintain, and report project status to customers; assist in proposals.
• Create and maintain departmental electronic files, forms, and brochures.
• Assist in coordinating proposal and bid package information and document release.
• May help track contact status, vendor relations, and meeting minutes.
• Conduct research and compile statistical reports.
• Coordinate meetings and events, including agendas, facilities, and minutes.
• Assist in communicating and enforcing Gray’s safety program.
