Job summary
US Conec, Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Automation Engineering Support Technician to provide technical support to the Automation Engineering team by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving automated manufacturing equipment used in the production of precision fiber optic connectivity products.
This role supports production by ensuring automation systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently while assisting with equipment installations, continuous improvement initiatives, and process
Qualifications
- Two+ years supporting automated assembly equipment in a production setting.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and electro‑mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with robotics, PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, sensors and vision systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Responsibilities
- Install, startup, maintain and troubleshoot automated manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose root causes and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve reliability.
- Support process improvements and new automation technologies.
- Document maintenance records and update work instructions.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance and Quality to resolve issues.
