Job summary

US Conec, Ltd. in Fort Worth, TX, seeks an Automation Engineering Support Technician for the 2nd shift (2pm - 10pm). The role provides hands-on support to the automation team, maintaining and improving equipment used in precision fiber optic production.

You will work with engineering, maintenance, production, and quality teams to enhance reliability and efficiency. Key responsibilities include installing, diagnosing, and repairing automated systems, performing preventative maintenance, and

Qualifications

Two+ years supporting automated assembly equipment in production.
Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Experience with robotics, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and vision systems.
Familiar with lockout/tagout and safety practices.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

Support installation, startup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated equipment.
Diagnose root causes and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve reliability.
Assist engineers with performance, trials, and process improvements.
Contribute to safety, quality, and productivity improvements.
Monitor processes and recommend improvements for repeatability and throughput.
Modify automation programs and adjust machine parameters as directed.
Maintain documentation: PM/calibration records, logs, and parts data.
Develop and update work instructions and operator training materials.
Collaborate with multiple teams to resolve issues and support new products.
Coordinate with vendors for repairs, upgrades, and installations.
Ensure compliance with safety, guarding, and regulatory standards.
