Job summary

US Conec, Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Automation Engineering Support Technician for the 3rd shift (10pm–6am) to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve automated manufacturing equipment used in precision fiber optic connectivity production.

Work with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, Quality, and vendors to maximize equipment performance and manufacturing efficiency, while upholding safety and lean manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• Two+ years supporting automated equipment in manufacturing.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, electro‑mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with robotics, PLCs, HMIs, servo, sensors, vision systems.
• Ability to read schematics and drawings.
• Strong safety and LOTO knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install, startup, maintain, and troubleshoot automated manufacturing equipment including robotics and PLC systems.
• Diagnose root causes to minimize downtime and coordinate repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance to improve reliability and life.
• Assist engineers with trials, process improvements, and new technologies.
• Support continuous improvement to safety, quality, and OEE.
• Document procedures, calibrations, and logs; update change records.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality to resolve issues.
