Job summary

Capital Farm Credit offers an Agricultural Lending Intern program for Summer 2027 in Texas. Interns gain hands-on experience in loan input, credit processes, and analysis while working with loan officers, credit analysts, and appraisers.

You will tour agricultural operations, shadow professionals across the organization, and develop practical skills in financial systems and credit operations, ending with a capstone presentation to the executive team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, or related field.
• Enrollment in summer courses is not required.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
• Junior, senior, or graduate student status by internship start.
• Ability to work full-time, in person, at the Capital Farm Credit office.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in daily operations of an agricultural lending office, including loan input, analysis, and credit processes.
• Work with loan officers, credit analysts, appraisers, and loan administrators to learn decision processes.
• Tour agricultural operations and shadow professionals across different areas of the organization.
• Develop knowledge of systems and technology used in agricultural lending and credit operations.
• Build relationships with employees and executives through orientation and professional development.
• Complete a summer project and present findings to executive leadership at closing session.
• Develop analytical, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills through projects and daily activities.
