Interns gain valuable industry experience, build professional connections, and develop skills to prepare them for their future careers.

What You'll Experience

  • Gain hands-on experience in the daily operations of an agricultural lending office, including loan input, analysis, and credit processes.
  • Work alongside loan officers, credit analysts, appraisers, and loan administrators to learn how agricultural financing decisions are made.

  • Develop working knowledge of the systems and technology used in agricultural lending and credit operations.
  • Build relationships with employees and executive leaders through orientation, professional development activities, and networking opportunities.
  • Complete a summer project and present your work to members of Capital Farm Credit's executive leadership team during the closing session.
  • Develop practical analytical, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills through meaningful projects and daily business activities.

Qualifications Required:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree at an accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting, Business, Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, or a related field supporting a career in agricultural finance. Enrollment in summer courses is not required.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, leadership potential, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
