Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Production Support Specialist to assist manufacturing technicians on the floor during critical aerospace hardware builds. This role requires hands-on support and strong communication to coordinate between technicians, engineering, and planning teams.

Located on Space Coast, FL, the position involves configuring new work areas, operating material handling and precision tools, and driving continuous improvement to ensure safe, efficient production transitions.

Qualifications

• Relevant Manufacturing & Production Support experience: 0-3 years Level I Technician, 3+ years Level II Technician, 5+ years Level III Technician, 8+ years Level IV Technician.
• Work collaboratively with teams of varied skills, fields, and backgrounds.
• Communicate clearly and appropriately, in writing and in person.
• Basic digital literacy such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
• Repetitively climb ladders/stairs and work in small, restricted areas.
• Perform repetitive work, including lifting of items up to 35lbs.
• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, etc.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident or eligible immigration status.

Responsibilities

• Configure new production work areas with the necessary tooling and equipment to ensure efficient workflow and minimize delays during transition to high-rate manufacturing.
• Operate material handling equipment and precision calibrated tools to maintain safety and quality standards.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency.
• Drive the transition from development to production, troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S principles.
• Prepare and test payload systems and hardware, including painting, sealing, composite layup, repairs, testing, and assist with vehicle assembly and installation.
