Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an on-floor Operations Specialist to manage hardware staging, movement, and readiness in support of the production plan. You will bridge Operations Leadership, Production Control, and shop floor to keep schedules intact and minimize losses from at-risk parts.

Responsibilities include maintaining real-time inventory status, driving recovery actions, and translating planning requirements into actionable floor priorities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in manufacturing operations, production control, expediting, or related shop floor roles in aerospace/high-complexity environments.
• Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) for tracking work orders, inventory, and schedules.
• Ability to read production schedules, BOMs, and shop floor routing docs.
• Ability to work on a production floor, standing and moving across multiple centers.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S. (citizenship/visa status as required).

Responsibilities

• Maintain real-time awareness of hardware location and readiness across the production flow.
• Drive recovery actions by evaluating expediting options and presenting impact to leadership.
• Support creation and execution of Daily/Weekly/2-Week/Monthly production plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to pull hardware through bottlenecks and ensure on-time delivery.
• Document status, actions, and escalation paths for leadership and stakeholders.
