Job summary

Million Air Richmond is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of our General Aviation business. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes ownership of the accounting process and can produce accurate and timely financial statements.

The ideal candidate will manage the general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting while providing leadership and internal controls to support operational decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting/bookkeeping experience, preferably with experience managing the full accounting cycle.
• Hands-on bookkeeping and accounting with the ability to produce monthly financial statements.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for the business.
• Maintain accurate general ledger and balance sheet schedules.
• Perform/payables/receivables, cash receipts, and related accounting functions.
• Reconcile bank, credit card and balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Provide management with financial reporting and variance analyses.
