Job summary

Cobalt Service Partners is seeking an Accounting Manager to own the monthly close and oversee the accounting operations for a operating company. This hands-on role emphasizes project accounting, revenue recognition, and cash forecasting within a PE-backed growth environment.

You will work with ERP tools and a regional finance team to drive timely, accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls, while supervising a small staff and supporting audits.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on monthly close ownership.
• Fluency in reconciliations, accruals, and GAAP-based financial reporting.
• Experience managing close and reporting across multiple entities/branches.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and learning new tools quickly (QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, ServiceTitan).
• Strong Excel and data-modeling skills; ability to bring structure to ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close and reporting for a single operating company.
• Manage project accounting, revenue recognition, and job costing; oversee payroll, AR/AP as applicable.
• Prepare the financial package, variance analysis, and 13-week cash flow forecast.
• Maintain and improve internal controls, budgets, and KPIs; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with ERP implementations and integrations with the regional finance team; supervise a small accounting staff.
